This residential building project is situated at the western edge of Burgdorf. The commission came about as a result of a project competition for planners and investors.
The task of realizing new buildings at the entrance to the town, which is characterized by countryside, was a challenge in terms of town planning. The solution was to build five residential cubes of wood and glass. The aim was to create a contemporary urban residential structure on the edge of town, which nevertheless benefits from, and enters into a dialog with, the rural surroundings. Thus, a view of greenery from every apartment is guaranteed. The facade material, cedar wood, was selected as a reference to the dark farmhouses.
Around 80 attractive rental apartments were realized, with 2½ to 4½ rooms each.
